We were very pleased to welcome Richard Atkins QC, the Chair of the Bar Council for 2019, to our office today. Richard spent the morning talking to staff, volunteers and a trustee about our work, and in particular how taking on FRU cases helps aspiring lawyers in their career. One volunteer told Richard “I’ve learnt so much... I can’t imagine why anyone who wants to come to the Bar wouldn’t do FRU”. We are grateful to the Bar Council for its ongoing support and to Richard for taking the time to come and speak to our volunteers about his time at the Bar.
