  • London Legal Walk 2014
    Thu, 04/03/2014 - 12:55

A big thank you to all 8,000 lawyers who turned out for the London Legal Walk on 19 May.  FRU’s team was just one of over 500 teams who walked the 10km circuit, and raised more than £500,000 for the London Legal Support Trust.

The funds raised are distributed to advice providers across London and the South East, including FRU. We’re very grateful for the support.

Donations can still be made, and you can still get involved in a range of fundraising activities which will take place across the South East over the year: check out their excellent website for more details: http://londonlegalsupporttrust.org.uk/our-events/

This is one of a network of Trusts operating across England and Wales, supporting pro bono and advice services more generally.  More information can be found from the Access to Justice Foundation who work with all of the Trusts.  Many of FRU’s volunteers are based outside London and the South East: if you would like to get involved in raising funds in your region, you can find out more here: http://www.accesstojusticefoundation.org.uk/regional-trusts/
