  • New Chief Executive joins FRU

    David Abbott has joined FRU as our new Chief Executive.
     
    Today we welcome David Abbott as our new Chief Exec. David joins FRU from the civil service where he has worked in the justice system for 18 years in a variety of roles, including as chief inspector of the court system. David has also worked for Citizens Advice and for a number of professional regulatory bodies.
     
    David said “I’m hugely honoured and exited to be joining FRU in its 45th year. FRU has a fantastic reputation and carries out excellent work in enabling access to justice and training lawyers in essential skills.”

  • Thank you to our wonderful walkers - London Legal Walk 2017

    On Monday 22nd May FRU took part in the 10k London Legal Walk.  

    A HUGE THANKS to all of you that walked to raise money for FRU.  It was an extremely pleasant evening and we all enjoyed the walk, the sunshine and the scenery of London.

  • Marathon Runners 2017

    Huge Congratulations to FRU's runners who completed this year’s London Marathon. Ross and Kate completed the marathon within fantastic times and did amazingly well with all their fundraising efforts.  We are grateful for all the hard work they put in to training and for raising a very impressive £2,794.  Let’s see if we help them acheive £3,000.
